Casual Usage Plan
When you join BigPond you get to enjoy all the advantages
of belonging to Australia's largest internet service provider, such as free
network spam and virus filtering, WebMail access, chat, blogs, Member Offers, online help and
24/7 phone Technical Support. How Dial-Up WorksTo access the internet, your BigPond Dial-Up connection uses your home or business phone line. We supply all the information you need to get connected. Your computer may already have a dial-up modem built in, or you can purchase one at just about any computer store.
1. Automatic disconnect applies after 1 hour idle time or 5 hours continuous connection on 50MB Internet Surf Plan and 100MB Internet Big Surf Plan. Automatic disconnect applies after 1 hour idle time or 10 hours continuous connection on Ultimate Internet Surf Plan. 2. Monthly Allowance means combined upload and download data transfer (except for some traffic provided from time to time by BigPond at no cost). Unused usage forfeited each month. Additional usage charged at $0.15/MB. 3. Minimum package cost on 50MB Internet Surf Plan (12 month minimum term) is $119.40, 100MB Internet Big Surf Plan (12 month minimum term) is $191.40 and Ultimate Internet Surf Plan (12 month minimum term) is $263.40 plus dial-up charges. An early cancellation fee applies, which is equal to $70 x n/12 where n is whole months remaining in the minimum term eg $35 if there are 6 months remaining. At the completion of your 12 month minimum term you will be automatically migrated to the monthly version of your plan unless you choose to take up another 12 month minimum term. 4. Dial-Up costs apply separately. You can access the internet from most fixed phones Australia-wide for the cost of a local call (or usual ISDN data call charges if you are an ISDN customer) 5. This service fee is not refundable if you cancel your service. The hourly rate is pro-rated based on actual usage, rounded up to the nearest minute or part thereof. If you choose to reconnect your BigPond Dial-Up service after it has been temporarily disconnected for non-payment, we may charge you a reconnection fee. The fee varies depending on whether you receive a BigPond bill or a Telstra Single Bill. If you receive a standalone BigPond bill, the reconnection fee is $40.
