BigPond Online Storage gives you easy and cost-effective access to our secure servers. So if you're worried about losing files to a virus or system crash, or you're simply running out of room on your hard drive, off-site storage with us is the perfect solution.

And because BigPond Online Storage includes easy access to stored files from anywhere with internet access, it's perfect for travelling or just getting large files from one PC to another.

You can use it to store your video, photo, music and other large media files, or as a safe back-up for important records, documents, settings and data. On the Professional plan, you can even nominate a folder on your computer and it will be automatically backed up to our servers. Drag-and-drop back-ups, made simple.

Best of all, BigPond Online Storage is an unmetered service for BigPond Broadband ADSL, Cable and Wireless Members, so all those file transfers don't make a bit of difference to your monthly usage allowance.

A word about security

We take the security and confidentiality of your stored files very seriously. So all your files are encrypted before they leave your computer, and they are stored in their encrypted format on our servers. So your files are protected for the whole time they're off your system.

Setting up your BigPond Online Storage

Once we've confirmed your BigPond Online Storage subscription, you'll be able to download the BigPond Online Storage Application. You'll need this to access all the features of BigPond Online Storage. Then you just need to authenticate your client software by entering your BigPond email address and password.

When you want to access your files from another computer (at an Internet café, for example) log in via the BigPond Online Storage Web Interface.

Please Note: If you use the Online Storage Web Interface, you'll be able to view, upload and download files. However, we do NOT recommend installing the BigPond Online Storage client on public PCs such as in an airport or internet cafés, as you may leave personal files behind by mistake.

• Under Our Customer Terms, we may change the terms and charges for your plan. The summary sets out how we can do this.

• Our Privacy Statement sets out how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed. You can obtain a copy on www.bigpond.com. We may tell you about your services by any means. We may also market to you in any way even after you are no longer our customer, unless you tell us not to by calling 1800 039 059.

• We use our monthly Ponderings newsletter to tell you about our service and you cannot opt-out of receiving it.

• For the charges and other terms that apply to the use of the service, please check the relevant section in Part G of the BigPond service section of Our Customer Terms, available here

• If you are signing up for a minimum term and your service is cancelled during the minimum term, you may need to pay a fee as set out in the relevant section of Our Customer Terms.
